Transfer of students from Anna University of Technology to Anna University

ITS OFFICIAL! - No Anna University of Technology anymore!!!

It has been officially announced that all students who were studying under Anna University of Technology have been transferred to Anna University w.e.f the semester examinations to be conducted in May/June 2012. New register numbers have been allotted to the students and has been sent to the student's respective colleges. Contact the concerned authority of your college to get the new register number.



NOW, WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO YOU?
The transfer of students from Anna University of Technology (AUT) to Anna University (AU) is welcomed by the faculties and colleges as AU has more recognition than AUT. EEEcube brings to you the changes that you will experience due to this transfer.

1. Question papers are expected to be a bit more easier in AU.
2. More recognition for AU than AUT.
3. Subject codes will be different.
4. You will have to check your results and other circulars at www.annauniv.edu
5. Better paper evaluation.
6. New register numbers (quite lengthy compared to AUT, takes time to remember by heart ;)  )
7. Few other miniature changes in rules that will literally have no effect on you.


On the whole, you have no reason to worry for leaving AUT. You will be writing your 4th semester exams (May/June 2012) under Anna University. EEEcube wishes you all the best for the remaining 5 semesters under AU.
