RESULTS ANNOUNCED!!!! 


Putting an end to the wait, the Anna University announced the result at 11.10 pm on 18/08/2012. Our data suggests that on overall, the correction has been lenient and most of the students had expressed that they had indeed got more grade than they expected. The pass percentage is expected to increase compared to the previous semester.  The revaluation procedure and the result analysis will be published soon. Thats all, friends. There seems to be a change in decision by the Anna University. Earlier it was told that the results will be announced before 31/07/2012 for all semesters except 2nd semester. But now, it seems that AU feels that announcing the results in two sets may cause confusion. So, it has decided to announce all the results at one stroke. This means it may take atleast another 10 days before the result gets published, which means we have to wait atleast until 2nd week of August.
The result for all semesters except 2nd semester is ready to be announced, but will be delayed upto atmost 2nd week of August.*
*the final decision rests with AU and so the date may be subject to change.

Some of the second semester students have written the re-exam on 31st July. Then the paper has to be evaluated and results has to be digitalised before it can be published.

WHY THIS DELAY SHOULD BE CONSIDERED AS GOOD?
Though the students are furious over the delay in the announcement of the results, this should be considered as a blessing in disguise for all those students who have written re-exam on 31st July. Because, if the results were announced before 31st and if the results are not upto their expectations, the students would have got disappointed and this would have reflected in their performance in the re-exam.

Moreover, the several delays in the announcement of the result as well as the multiple changes that were made in the timetable is justified, because the AU is overloaded with several works at one time. All the 450+ colleges are integrated into AU after long time. So the planning of exams for all of the students at one stroke is a very difficult and tedious task. Meanwhile, the counselling is also in progress for which the AU has to deal with lakhs of applicants. We can even adjust with the delay in the results, we cannot tolerate with poor evaluation at any cost. Lets hope for the best!

Several times, decisions were taken to announce the results much earlier, but due to unforeseen reasons, it is getting delayed. Please bear with us. Latest news about the result is that it may be announced mostly by this sunday (05/0702012) or monday (06/08/2012)*. Our sources who attended the meeting at AU today confirmed the news saying that it was decided that the results be published by this weekend before Monday. We constantly update this page with latest information about the results. Stay in touch.

The latest news from our source indicates that the paper evaluation was completed by 15th July. Then the process of data entry begun. Now the latest development is that the results have been digitalised completely and the first round of error checking has been completed. It is now in the final stages. Works have already begun to link the result database to the website. Now, with all the work completed, you can expect the result positively before 31st July. Brace Yourself!
