NOTE: EEE students please do not confuse yourself with your 3rd Semester EDC. This re-exam will not affect EEE students in anyway.
Along with the other exams conducted in association with May/June 2012 end semester examinations, Anna University,Chennai also conducted ECED (Electric Circuits and Electronic Devices) on 29/06/2012.
But it seems that on the day prior to the exam, some students had access to the original question paper and shared it on Social Networking Sites. According to media reports somebody named "sur***" shared the question paper and later it has been removed.
DATE OF EXAM: 31/07/2012 (10.00 am to 1.00 pm)
Now the University has decided to conduct re-exam for this subject on 31/7/2012 only for the following departments.
B.E. Computer Science and Engineering
B.E Electronics and Communication Engineering
B.Tech. Information Technology
B.E. Bio Medical Engineering
HOW WILL IT AFFECT THE ANNOUNCEMENT OF RESULTS:

Earlier it was announced that the conduction of the re-exam will not affect the announcement of the results for other semester students. But the AU seemed to have changed its decision, to announce all the results in one stroke inorder to avoid any sorts of confusion. CLICK HERE to know more about the announcement of results.

Now, this re-exam will delay the announcement of results for 2nd semester subjects. The final year pass-outs are those students who had arrear in this subject will be affected the worst as the delay in the results will prevent them from applying for higher studies or jobs.
But the University made it clear that the delay caused will not exceed more than 10 days.
