Going by the latest circular from Anna University, the Regulation 2009 will be dismissed for the forthcoming 2012-2016 batch and will follow only Regulation 2008 syllabus and curriculum. The University has instructed all the affiliated to colleges to follow the R2008 system for the students admitted this year. This might be to avoid the confusions that can occur during planning of timetable that we witnessed this time. There is also some news doing rounds that the University is planning to unify all the colleges across the state with same Regulation. It this is true, we welcome it with wide hands!
